CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
I would like to invite submissions for an exhibition I am putting together. Friends with Benefits will run from August 20-24, 2018 at the George Caleb Bingham Gallery at the University of Missouri in Columbia. This exhibition is in partial fulfillment of my doctoral degree in art education and all data compiled will be utilized in my dissertation. My focus for this show will be on Instagram and how artists may or may not use it for reflection, presentation, and for connecting with others. This is an open call for local, national, and international practicing artists over the age of 18. Submissions will be displayed on heavy card stock hung on a taught metal wire in the gallery. Each artist will be designated one piece of paper with a text submission on the front and an image submission on the back (examples above). All submissions will be public and included in the show. There is no fee to submit and entries are due by July 5.
