While demonstrating expertise in a variety of media and concepts, students will develop artistic ideas and strategies for conceptualizing and planning projects. Beyond technical knowledge, students will create portfolios that address potential as artists, researchers, teachers, and community leaders.
Meaning-making skills will be honed through a group project by which students will acquire a more holistic, sentient view of the arts and harness the power of collaborative thinking.

In working with others and drawing from an extensive collection of acquired and original figural images, Spero was able to produce art late into her life.
