Bethanie Irons is an artist, designer, and educator. She holds a Ph.D. in Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum with a focus on Art Education from the University of Missouri, M.F.A. in Art from the University of Missouri, and B.F.A. in Art from the University of South Dakota. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Art at Columbia College Missouri.
Irons is drawn to the tactile possibilities of painting, sculpture, installation, and design, and to the ways these mediums shape meaning through material and form. Whether teaching, making art, or designing, she continually explores how visual communication and physical experience can inspire, inform, and connect.
