CoMo Mobile Aid Collective | Brand Identity

CoMo Mobile Aid Collective is dedicated to providing marginalized citizens of Columbia, Missouri, with resources, care, and respect. The organization understands that there are different levels of homelessness and that there are many gaps in services for marginalized individuals in need. CoMo Mobile Aid believes in easing all forms of suffering whenever possible. It is sometimes as simple as a fresh cup of water, a warm bowl of food, or a blanket. The collective is comprised of community volunteers and other organizations that provide meals, water, survival supplies, hygiene items, basic medical care, pet care, legal advocacy, and more. This work is ever-evolving and serves as an attempt to fill the local service gaps and ease the suffering of others through direct and timely aid.

In the early stages of forming the collective, I was asked by one of the directors and founders, Catherine Armbrust, if I would create a brand identity for the organization. This included logo iterations, iconography, and accessible typography and colors. Catherine had a clear vision for the identity: approachable, accessible, informative, and inclusive. The resulting assets serve to provide a visual base to design informational brochures, signage, and merchandise for outreach and fundraising purposes.
