Philosophy + Selected Student Work
While I bring experience in art, design, and research, I do not see myself as the sole source of knowledge. Instead, I create an environment where students learn from one another, contribute their own perspectives, and develop confidence through shared inquiry and making. My goal is to ensure every student feels included, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Preparing students for creative careers requires more than technical skill. I prioritize authentic, real-world learning experiences that connect classroom concepts to professional practice through client projects, community partnerships, collaborative problem-solving, and design thinking. Students are challenged to think critically about the ethical and social impact of their work while developing the adaptability, communication skills, and creative confidence needed to thrive beyond the classroom.
Teaching is one of the greatest privileges of my life. It allows me to help students discover their creative potential while continually strengthening my own practice. The classroom is a place of shared curiosity, experimentation, and growth, where learning prepares students not only to become skilled artists and designers, but thoughtful, engaged professionals.
