Conference Posters & Educational Illustration Design

For the Central Missouri Society of the Archaeological Institute of America, I designed a series of conference posters that translated institutional information and archaeological scholarship into clear, visually engaging formats. The materials introduced the Society and the Institute, highlighted opportunities for community involvement, and included an educational component that explained archaeological methods for a broad public audience.

A central feature of the project was a large-scale stratigraphy illustration depicting a cross-section of an archaeological site. I first drew all elements by hand, incorporating feedback from the client, a subject matter expert in the field. I then vectorized the illustration and completed final touches digitally. Designed as both a teaching tool and a visual anchor, the illustration synthesized complex temporal and material layers into an accessible graphic narrative.
